However, after mid-XXth Century frequently one encounters genitalia that are considerably larger than the Renaissance representations, more akin to the penises found in Play Girl magazine. Most of these groin-centered images are clearly directed in their content and intent. Of particular note is a photo-montage by Bryan Kinrod (a. 1990) (See: Figure 160). It is unabashedly gay in content and intent. It portrays a nude young-adult male tied to a post in front of Carlo Crivelli's Madonna and Child with St. Francis and St. Sebastian (c. 1491). The model's head is tilted upward, in part due to a rope around his neck, his eyes are closed and his mouth is open as if moaning or in ecstasy. This is further underlined by a milky substance streaming down from his left nipple toward his groin and what appears to be ejaculate dripping from his penis. Obviously, the intent of this composition is to connect the ecstasy of St. Sebastian with spontaneous ejaculation. Other penile, groin-centered representations include: James Childs' St. Sebastian (1978) (See: Figure 161) in which is found a nude, saint with prominent penis replete with pubic hair; Alberto Donaire (2000) (See: Figure 162) presents a monochromatic, carefully rendered saint but renders the pubic area as if seen through a haze which does little to mask the interest; Ernesto Lozano Rivero (a. 2002) (See: Figure 163) in two states displays a well endowed saint who is grasping the arrows which have penetrated his torso and a penis centered painting entitled St Sebastian the Martyr of Creation IX (a. 2002) (See: Figure 164) with a single arrow entering his buttock; Gustavo Löbig Martínez (1997) (See: Figure 165) paints a well muscled and handsome young adult who is draped with lavender gauze that does little to hide his substantial endowment; Egon Posselt (2004) (See: Figure 166) in a cartoon-like representation is one of the few artists who show an arrow piercing an equally cartoon-like penis; Scott Woodard (2007) (See: Figure 167) in a painting that recalls the representations of the stigmata as well as Hitchcock's The Birds. Crows additionally peck at the nipples and penis of the saint who is pierced by crayolas; Gabriel Grün Yantorno (2006) (See: Figure 168) portrays an adult, nude saint with shaved pubes tied and in some distress; Alfred Courmes (1934-1935) (See: Figure 169) exhibits a St. Sebastian who appears to be a member of the French navy complete with brown oxfords, stockings and garters; the St. Sebastian of Ted Fusby (2001) (See: Figure 170) possesses a prominent "Prince Albert" and is nude; André Durand (2007) (See: Figure 171) depicts the nude saint sitting cross-legged in what my be a self portrait; and Tony de Carlo (c. 2000) (See: Figure 172) paints El Santo Protector de Sedia, a variation on the nude St. Sebastian which shows him tied in a chair and pierced by scores of nails. There are numerous other representations of the nude St. Sebastian in the XXth and XXIth Centuries. An anonymous artist in 2001, possibly Carla Adams, creates a collage of St. Sebastian complete with erection (See: Figure 173)
