The groin centered representation during the late XXth Century and beyond carries with it no visual or content reference to the Renaissance or the Baroque period--i.e., periods in which the size of the penis when it is displayed, undraped, might be referred to as adolescent in form and size, even when depicted in mature men. There are exceptions, but few. One must mention the Nude Self Portrait of Albrecht Durer (a. 1510) (See: Figure 159).
