2-c) A third variation is highly posed and reminiscent of the position of the feet held by a fashion model. In this variation, one foot is turned out, almost at a 45o angle from the other and presents an artificial, almost effete presentation--e.g., the Saint Sebastians of Benozzo Gozzoli (1464) (See: Figure 15), the Anonymous French Master of St. Florian and St. Sebastian (1470-1480) (See: Figure 59), Hans Strigel (c. 1480) (See: Figure 60), Amico Aspertini (1503-1504) (See: Figure 61), Giambattista Cima da Conegliano (1475) (See: Figure 62), and Jacopo Negretti (called Palma il Vecchio) (1524) (See: Figure 63), among a number.
